Interim Executives Academy Study Group - Navigating Detractors to Interim Executive Leadership

Join us on December 9 for a virtual "think tank" discussion for our Interim Executives Academy Study Group of 2025: Navigating Detractors to Interim Chief Executives Success: Disarming Saboteures in Uncertain Times. Each interim engagement has its own set of challenges, but when someone inside or outside of the organization becomes an active detractor, working against the interim’s purpose, the job becomes exponentially more difficult. Author Denice Hinden will share strategies from her e-book Disarming Saboteurs: 6 Mindset Tools for Excellent Nonprofit & Association Leadership.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify common detractors and saboteurs that interim chief executives may encounter.
- Develop strategies to effectively address and neutralize negative influences.
- Learn techniques to build a supportive and collaborative organizational environment.
Guest Speaker Info:
- Denice Hinden, author of “Disarming Saboteurs: 6 Mindset Tools For Excellent Nonprofit and Association Leadership", will be with us to talk about the challenge interims often face as they step into their positions. Not everyone in an organization may be pleased with the appointment of an outside interim and acts of conscious or unconscious sabotage can wreak havoc in an interim engagement.
- Lori Klein, a practicing interim leader, took on an engagement in which she faced an internal saboteur. Lori will share her experience and the advice that she would give to someone in a similar situation.
