Introduction to the Interim Development Directors Academy

THE INTERIM CHIEF DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

There are six phases associated with a methodical engagement as an interim chief executive of a nonprofit organization. But how can those models and practices be adapted to result in an equally logical approach to the work of an interim chief development officer? Interim Executives Academy is proud to launch a new Academy that prepares aspiring and practicing nonprofit leaders to consider the application of its interim leadership models to the fundraising function.

This one-hour session will introduce Third Sector Company's approach to methodical interim leadership with discussion about its application to short-term strategic leadership as an Interim Chief Development Officer.

An additional introduction session has been added for January 23.

View the Fact Sheet for more information.

The next Interim Development Director Academy will be held on March 17, March 24 and March 31.

Participants in the Academy will also be invited to attend three complimentary Study Groups in 2025:

  • First Session TBA – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pacific
  • Tuesday, July 15 – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pacific
  • Tuesday, November 18 – 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pacific

Third Sector Company, Inc. is committed to advancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion as foundational to its programs.

We acknowledge and honor the fundamental value and dignity of all people; and we pledge our individual and organizational efforts to build respect, dignity, caring, and equitable treatment for all. As an organization, we are committed to transforming the world into one that promotes social justice and freedom from oppression, including but not limited to, racism, sexism, classism, heterosexism, ageism, and ableism.

Thus, we aim to be adaptable, actively anti-racist, embracing cultural differences, and to be accessible for people who are differently resourced and differently abled. Since we do not want financial hardship to be a barrier to participation, there are several seats reserved in each of our fee-based programs for confidentially awarded scholarships. We encourage those from historically underserved communities to apply.
