Board Chairs Roundtable: Effective Committees
Do your board meetings get bogged down in details and side conversations? If so, maybe your committee structure isn't working as well as it could. Join a conversation with fellow board members from around North America as we explore the benefits and perils of board committees, and talk about creative ways that small workgroups can help your board advance its cause. Here are a few of the questions the conversation will cover:

  • How does the work of a committee differ from the work of the board?
  • Who can serve on a board committee?
  • What is the optimal relationship between a board committee and its staff liaison?

Board Chairs Roundtable is a monthly 90-minute online discussion among board members from across North America, offering a deep dive into key elements of nonprofit board governance. Participants pay $30 per session. (Six months of Roundtable fees are included in the Board Chairs Academy tuition to enrich the Academy experience for current participants.)

All Roundtables are sponsored by the Board Chairs Academy.

Since we do not want financial hardship to be a barrier to participation, there are several seats reserved in each of our fee-based programs for confidentially awarded scholarships. We encourage those from historically underserved communities to apply.
